Coconut+Love Dish Soap Bar
Coconut+Love Dish Soap Bar
Who is still wasting plastic by using liquid dish soap from a plastic bottle? Only a fraction of those bottles ever see a recycling facility, and who knows which sea creature is going to swallow the lid to that bottle. We can do better…so I created this bar to solve your dishwashing needs without the plastic. This is a 3”x3.5”x1” bar made of Saponified Coconut Oil (Certified Organic) with a splash of Activated Charcoal because I figured it looked cute. I don’t have a dishwasher, so I’ve been using this bar with my plant-based sponges and drying the dishes with cloth towels. This was a seamless, low waste transition, and it looks pretty on my countertop. The best part? It’s made using only a few ingredients…and hella love.
Each bar weighs a little over 5.5 ounces.
If you are looking for some biodegradable sponges, I don’t sell any, but the ones I use can be found HERE.
Yes. All homemade soap uses lye to turn butters and oils into soap. Is there any lye in the finished product? Nope…just saponified oils and love. As each bar was hand-poured, no two bars will look alike.
INGREDIENTS: Certified Organic Coconut Oil, Distilled Water, Sodium Hydroxide (lye), and Activated Charcoal.
